Aug 2021"WARNING: I do NOT recommend this driving school. Specially if you are a foreigner, read along. What happened to me: - I have to pay more than 100 EUR to the TUEV (institute which makes the practical exam), because the owner of the driving school registered me for an exam too early. First, I wasn't even ready for the exam according to my driving instructor. Last, I asked for an appointment in the end of November 2020 and the owner of the driving school (Roland) booked an appointment for the 9th of November, without asking me before and without any confirmation! He informed me via SMS and I immediately said that it's too early and I can't go for it, for which the answer was "I'm sorry now it's not possible to cancel, you have to provide a medical attest proving sickness". Of course I wasn't sick, so now I have to pay more than 100 EUR, for NOTHING! No compensation was offered by the driving school in any form. - Many times, practical lessons were cancelled WITHOUT notice! No call, no email, no message, NOTHING! I showed up there, wasting my precious time (for which I had no negotiate with my employer, to be able to do my driving lessons!). No compensation of any form or whatsoever was offered by the driving school. Once they even cancelled a whole series of practical lessons at once - again no notice was given. The owner of the driving school told me "it's your problem, you have to look up in our website prior, to see if it was cancelled or not". - Theory classes with Roland (the owner) are a complete waste of time. With him, you'll learn almost nothing for the theoretical exam. You'll have to learn all on your own using some learning app. He will talk about autonomous cars and why in the future his profession will become obsolete. You're also not allowed to skip the theory classes, you have to go there and sit for an hour listening to him talking about some articles he liked to read. They could at least let people stay home and study on their own during that time, but no, you have to sign the paper for proving presence. Once I started questioning Roland, if the content he was talking about would be part of the theory exam, he didn't like it. - Payments: they never gave me a single receipt, whenever I paid the classes. So there is no way for you to prove that you have paid. Pro tip: in your next driving school ALWAYS ASK FOR A RECEIPT. - In general, communication and organization were terrible, again always when going through the school owner. They could only profit from a secretary or someone to take care of orga. - Once in theory classes, for whatever reason, Roland was talking about animals. I started questioning, if we shouldn't move forward and don't lose focus about relevant content for the theory exam, he kept talking about animals and at some point, because he knows I'm from Brasil, he asked me something like this "This animal comes from the rain forest. Aren't you from the rain forest too?", for which as foreigner I felt really uncomfortable with. - At the end, I decided to move to another driving school. When picking up my certificate, he tried to take more money from me - which I didn't allow. And in the end, he even tried to forbid me speaking English inside his office, so that another foreigner present there couldn't understand what I was talking about - "WE ARE IN GERMANY, YOU HAVE TO SPEAK GERMAN!" Roland shouted. - So as a foreigner, I would NOT recommend this driving school. Disclaimer: + I have to say all the problems I faced were always through the school owner. + The driving instructors I had were just fine (esp. Reinhard, if I learned something was from him). But I believe Reinhard is going towards retirement, so..."
