About ExpatsLicense
Simplifying the journey to getting your driver's license in Berlin, one language at a time.
Our Mission
Moving to a new country is already a massive challenge. Between the bureaucracy, finding an apartment, and building a new life, tasks like getting a driver's license or converting an existing one can feel overwhelming—especially when there is a language barrier.
In Berlin, while many things are becoming more international, the process of finding a driving school that offers support in English, Turkish, Arabic, or other languages is still surprisingly difficult. It takes time for expats to learn German to a degree where they feel comfortable learning complex driving rules and technical terms.
We believe it's always easier to learn in a language you know well. ExpatsLicense was created to bridge this gap and help you find the right school so you can start your driving journey with confidence.
Curated & Real
The information on this website is a curated list aggregated from various publicly available sources. We've done the heavy lifting of searching through hundreds of schools to identify those that explicitly offer language support.
Crucially, the reviews and ratings you see here are from real people who have gone through the process themselves. We aim to provide an honest look at what you can expect from each school.
Contact & Feedback
This project is a work in progress, and we're always looking to improve our data. If you have any feedback or if you're a school owner who wants to be listed, please reach out to us at [email protected].
